Ayurveda Cooking Classes

Ayurveda cooking workshop is suitable for all those who are interested in health & wellbeing through cooking. Discover the health benefits of an Ayurveda diet by coming along to our cooking workshop.

Food prepared properly with love is a source of energy.  In this workshop you will learn how to prepare delicious, easy-to-make vegetarian meals based on the principles of India’s ancient healing system, AYURVEDA

Our Ayurvedic foods are fresh and holistic, low in fats and calories, easy to digest and give you maximum prana- “the life energy”

In Ayurveda food plays a prominent role in promoting health and is therefore considered medicine.  Food nourishes not only the body but the mind and awareness as well. In Ayurveda food, drinks, and spices are categorized according to their taste (sweet, salty, sour, bitter, pungent and astringent), the energetic effect they have on the doshas, as well as their post-digestive effect on the tissues.

Many of the spices used in Ayurvedic cooking such as turmeric, ginger, cumin, fenugreek, coriander and cardamom  etc .are also  medicinal herbs used in Ayurvedic  Herbology. Cooking daily with those spices can greatly enhance digestion, absorption and assimilation of food, improve one’s appetite and elimination, nourish the internal organs and prevent doshic  imbalance.

Green Ayurveda cooking classes can provide great insight about which foods will suit and balance you according to your constitution, dosha imbalance, and season. Our Ayurvedic cuisine is unique for its emphasis on making sure each dish is cooked and spiced so as to achieve maximum digestibility to avoid the formation of toxins (which is a result of improperly digested food).
