Yoga has been practiced for more than 5,000 years in India. The word “yoga” came from Sanskrit word “YUJ “which means “to unite or integrate”. Yoga is the union of person’s own consciousness and the universal consciousness. It is also a holistic approach of uniting the body, mind and spirit.

Through our daily practice of Yoga Asanas and Movements, marma points and nadis in our body gets stimulated, increase flexibility, strengthen and tone muscles, balance hormones, cleanses and flush all the internal systems of the body, calm the mind, reduce stress and perform our daily life in a fresh and energetic way. We teach very gently and fluently. Aim of every lesson is, that you personally find a way to perform the movements you learn. We will inspire you through every lesson and accompany you to get in touch with yourself.

Our classes are non competitive and focus on safely progressing from easy to more challenging poses, suitable for all levels.

Private classes are available any time during the day. Our teachers are specialized in Hata / Ashtanga / Kundalini / Vinyasa / Kundalini & Chakra Meditation

Dr Jolly is a qualified Ayurveda Doctor and Yoga teacher from India and has been teaching yoga more than 20 years. He is father of five and taught children’s yoga at schools and families in India.

So his ambition is to bring a world of peace, creativity, joy and discipline to all children from all walks of their life.

It is very great thing to practice yoga at young age and continue throughout their life. For every successful person, each step forward has been founded on a positive childhood experience.

Children need special attention of love, happiness, lot of fun and space to discover their own creativity.

Pregnancy is a very special season in the life of a woman.  Tremendous changes can happen within physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  In India Yoga has been practiced for centuries to support the mother-to-be, new mothers and babies to feel nurtured, empowered and balanced.

Dr Swapna is an Ayurvedic Doctor and Yoga teacher from India and has been teaching Holistic Ayurvedic Pregnancy yoga for over many years. She is a mother of four and practiced Ayurveda pregnancy yoga with her all pregnancies.

Dr.Swapna’s Pregnancy Yoga class includes,

  • Breathing: You’ll be encouraged to focus on breathing in and out slowly and deeply through the nose to manage shortness of breath during pregnancy and work through contractions during labor.
  • Gentle stretching: You’ll be encouraged to gently move different areas of your body.
  • Postures: While standing, sitting or lying on the ground, you’ll gently move your body into different positions aimed at developing your strength, flexibility and balance.
  • Relaxation & Meditation: You may be encouraged to listen to your own breathing, pay close attention to sensations, thoughts and emotions, or repeat a mantra or word to bring about a state of self-awareness and inner calm.
  • Breast feeding awareness:   You’ll be encouraged to understand the health benefits of breast feeding for both mother and baby.

So it’s essential you find an experienced teacher who gently guides you through the yoga

Notes:

  • Dr.Swapna’s holistic pregnancy Yoga conducted in a calm and peaceful environment. It is a great place to make new friends and share the ups and downs of antenatal experiences.
  • Although exercise is generally  recommended throughout pregnancy, Dr Swapna advice the mum-to-be to start her new Pregnancy Yoga   after her 14 weeks of gestation after getting the approval of her consultant.
  • All classes are for 60min duration.
  • Mats and equipment are provided. However if you wish to bring your own mat or cushion then please do so.
  • Please wear comfortable clothes.
  • Private Sessions are also available by arrangement.
  • Group classes consist of 4 to 12 people

You have nurtured your baby through pregnancy and have given birth to a beautiful baby- Congratulations! Post-partum is one of the special times in a woman’s life. Mom & baby yoga classes provide an opportunity for you to regain strength and flexibility, to bond with your baby in an enjoyable activity and to make friends with other mom’s.

Ayurveda teachings tell us that post-partum is one of the special times in a woman’s life. New moms are often so busy and exhausted that their own well-being takes a back-seat  Take time for yourself by being present in your body and connecting with your breath. It is simply “being” that the soul craves, and the more we are able to be, the more balanced we feel.

Most people know the importance of yoga during pregnancy, but yoga also aids tremendously in postnatal recovery. Connecting with your body and breath through the postnatal yoga postures can not only help with your physical recovery, but can help to balance your mental and emotional well-being during this new and often challenging time.

It is recommended that you give yourself enough time to rest and heal after giving birth. For vaginal birth, allow yourself 6 weeks rest, and for a C-section recovery can take anywhere from 8-12 weeks (it advised to wait until incision is healed before engaging in abdominal strengthening exercises) and babies form 6 weeks, to around a year can do yoga.
